Program
Troop 76's program currently centers on themes that encourage scouts to learn skills that will last a lifetime. First aid, citizenship, backpacking, American cultures, and leadership development are just a few of these skills. With easy access to many great hiking and camping locations our program fulfills the scouts' desires for outdoor adventure. Rafting down the Delaware River or backpacking over mountain trails--scouts in Troop 76 do it all.
SUMMER CAMP--For two weeks in July we travel to ten Mile River Scout Camp in upstate Sullivan County. It's a terrific place to work on outdoor skills--especially ones that take longer than a few days to learn and master. Scouts have the opportunity to go swimming in Camp Aquehonga's swimming pool, sail on a beautiful lake, and practice craft skills like leatherworking and basketry. A full range of activities are available, under our own leadership and that of the camp staff. Camperships are available to assist those in need.
